Powder Coating

I powder coated some bullets for my 25-20, I am hoping I can push the bullets a bit faster without getting leading. I tried two types of power coating and surprisingly the Princess Auto Blue Powder coating. I am going to try it out tomorrow . I loaded some with 4 grains of Unique and some with 5. Four grains shoots really well but I wouldn’t mind a bit more velocity if I can get it with powder coat.

I am a hobby gunsmith by night and teach at a University by day. I love taking old basket case but classic rifles and breathing new life into them. I do have a Ph.D. but it is in feed processing and nutrition and nothing to do with classic rifles but some of my friends call me the gun doctor for bringing these pieces back to life.
