I picked up a Remington #2 in 32 rimfire at auction a few years ago and I bought a scrap piece of stock walnut from a gunsmith friend of mine. The wood is beautiful but has the grain going the wrong direction since two other stocks have already been cut out of it. I figured it would be fine for a 22 with a long tang like this Remington. I should have reinforced it before inletting but I broke it then reinforced it with a piece of 3/8” x 1X4 aluminum in the wrist. It will hold for life now. I relined it and casehardened the barrel. It is a rather nice 22 now. I put some MVA sights on it and it is ready to go.

That is truly a beautiful rifle… now.Amazing job!!!Meryl Sent from my Galaxy
