I also enjoy wood working and building unique items. During Covid I built a copy of a Martin HD28 Martin Guitar. I purchased a kit from Martin via Blues Creek Guitars and went for it. I made a few mistakes, mainly in the finishing of it but it sounds and plays great. It is very rewarding to play a guitar I built. Hopefully some day after I am gone my kids and future grand kids will appreciate it as much as me.
I built a couple boxes for my MVA scopes. The longer one is walnut I bought from an Amish saw mill in Ontario, the other is nice hard curly maple.
